Commonly referred to as baptism, there is much confusion among Yashar‘al in regards to what should and/or should not be done. Should we Mikvah? Are we to be immersed into living water? What about immersion for the dead? Some even believe that since YAHUSHA came, immersion is of the heart. Why do so many feel this is only a spiritual concept? They quote being ‘immersed by the RUACH as the only true immersion…but there are actually four different types: Immersion of Water (unto repentance), Immersion of Water (into the Name), Immersion of the Ruach/Fire, and Immersion into Death. The word Mikvah in Hebrew is actually H# 4723/4724 – maquah, a place where water flows together…how was it used in Turah?בראשית (B-r‘ashyth/Genesis) 1:10…maquah – H# 4723 (Mikvah) used with no reference to immersion.שמות(Shamuth/Exodus) 7:19…maquah – H# 4723 (Mikvah) used with no reference to immersion.ויקרא (U-Yaqra/Leviticus) 11:34-36…maquah – H# 4723 (Mikvah) used with no reference to immersion.ישעיהו (YashaYahu/Isaiah) 22:7-11…maquah – H# 4724 (Mikvah) used with no reference to immersion.Living/Flowing Water?Did YAHUSHA Mikvah?

Mikvah (sometimes spelled as mikveh) is a bath used for the purpose of ritual immersion in Judaism. The word Mikvah means a "collection" – generally, a collection of water. Several biblical regulations specify that full immersion in water is required to regain ritual purity after ritually impure incidents have occurred. Most forms of impurity can be nullified through immersion in any natural collection of water. Some, such as a Zav, however require "living water," such as springs or groundwater wells. Living water has the further advantage of being able to purify even while flowing as opposed to rainwater which must be stationary in order to purify.

The Mikvah is designed to simplify this requirement, by providing a bathing facility that remains in ritual contact with a natural source of water.
